Welcome to the very first post on the new Jessica Canobie blog! If you're here reading this, thank you. I’m beyond excited to step back into blogging, a place I left nearly a decade ago, and even more thrilled to connect with you as part of this new chapter.
In this post, I’ll share a bit about my journey—what blogging looked like for me back then, why I stepped away, and the reasons I feel called to return, even at a time when it might seem like blogging is “saturated.”
But before we dive in, know that I’m here to get to know you too. You can connect with me through my social media or shoot me an email at jessica.canobie@gmail.com.
Let’s chat, share dreams, and inspire each other to build the lives we’re meant for.

My First Blog: Acorns and Lemonade
Let’s rewind to my first blog, Acorns and Lemonade—my first step into the unknown world of online entrepreneurship and social media. I didn’t know what I was doing back then, but looking back, I built something amazing:
Not bad for someone just starting! But, over time, life and self-doubt crept in. I saw others making money online and thought my little blog would never reach that level. I shut it down, convinced I needed a different path.
Where Life Took Me
Over the years, I shifted my focus to social media, especially Instagram, and dived into short-form content creation. I also opened a small business and applied my web design skills there. I learned a lot about growth, visibility, and monetization.
Yet, something was missing.
A few months ago, while reading 10x Is Easier Than 2x by Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy, a lightbulb moment hit. I realized I’d been thinking too small, living in “2x mode.”
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, this book reframes growth by encouraging us to think bigger. To visualize our future selves not as distant dreams but as something to embody right now.
And when I envisioned my future self, I knew she would:
This vision lit a fire in me—I knew it was time to become her now.
The 4 C’s Framework: Courage, Commitment, Confidence, Capability
One of the most powerful concepts in 10x Is Easier Than 2x is the “4 C’s.” Essentially, achieving big goals requires courage and commitment long before you have the confidence or capability. Confidence and capability grow with action, not before.
Reading this changed everything for me. I no longer felt like I had to wait to feel “ready.” I just had to start.
Why This Blog Matters to Me—and Hopefully to You
So, here I am, returning to blogging with a fresh perspective and an incredible sense of purpose. This blog isn’t just about my journey; it’s about us. If you’re reading this, you’re likely a woman with big dreams, maybe a mom, an entrepreneur, or someone craving more from life. I want this space to be one where you find encouragement, practical tools, and real talk on building the life of your dreams, even when it feels daunting.
What's Coming Next
I’ll be sharing everything I’ve learned from the last decade in online spaces, along with my deep dive into wellness (because 10x requires energy!). Look out for posts on topics like:

Here’s to courage, commitment, and the confidence and capability we’ll build along the way.
